Christine (Chris) Amrhein, a 2016 winner of the Denver Business Journal’s Top Women in Energy Award and former General Counsel of Advanced Emissions Solutions (NASDAQ: ADES), specializes in corporate law, complex commercial transactions, global business and legal strategy, and helping businesses efficiently manage legal operations.  She has over 30 years legal and executive level experience in multiple industries, including energy, healthcare software and technology, e-commerce, and global manufacturing, where she gained hands-on knowledge of the wide range of commercial and legal issues that can impact a business and solutions to address them.   In addition to handling complex commercial transactions such as equity and asset acquisitions and divestitures, healthcare and e-commerce processing agreements, strategic alliances, global supply, and intellectual property license agreements, she held both business and legal positions at The Timken Company where she managed a $30M market segment and acted as chief negotiator and legal support to establish manufacturing capability in China via both JV and WOFE and build a turn-key warehouse and logistics facility in France.  At First Data, she was lead legal support for the mobile commerce business unit, new product development, and merchant processing joint ventures with Financial Institutions, and provided guidance around intellectual property creation and protection, data security, regulatory requirements, and complex business transactions.  At TriZetto she led an eleven person legal operations team and as General Counsel of ADES she was responsible for all legal functions and handled Board governance, shareholder and corporate matters, strategic growth initiatives, complex transactions, product development and intellectual property asset management, crisis and litigation management, and key legal compliance, administrative and internal control functions.  As a result of this wide range of responsibilities, Chris has extensive experience counseling business colleagues on practical ways to address legal issues, launch new products and services on a global basis, and implement training and compliance programs.
