Conor Flanigan

Senior Associate

Conor Flanigan is a member of the litigation team. Throughout his career, he has represented corporate and individual clients in a diverse array of civil litigation matters, including commercial disputes involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and fraud, products liability, condemnation, and home lending matters involving eviction, breach of contract, and breach of note, and other general commercial litigation matters.

Before joining Fortis, Conor served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney (AUSA) at the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Colorado in the Criminal Division. Conor served in the Narcotics Section and the Violent Crime and Immigration Enforcement Section, where he handled a diverse array of federal criminal prosecutions, including offenses involving drug trafficking, firearms possession, trafficking, and manufacturing, violent crimes, and conspiracy.

Conor has broad experience conducting federal criminal investigations, including offenses involving local and multi-state drug trafficking organizations, firearms manufacturing, and related financial crimes. Conor served as the lead attorney in an Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) investigation involving an international drug trafficking organization, where he worked with local, state, federal, and international law enforcement agencies. As an AUSA, Conor tried over ten jury trials in federal court, including cases involving drug trafficking, firearms, robbery, conspiracy, tax fraud, and insurance fraud offenses. Prior to serving at the United States Attorney’s Office, Conor spent several years as a litigation associate at a Denver law firm.

While in law school, Conor served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Neil M. Gorsuch in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, as a law clerk at a Colorado law firm, and as an intern with the Justice Review Project at the Colorado Attorney General Office, Criminal Justice Section.

Conor is a Colorado native who grew up in Denver. Outside the office, he enjoys hiking, snowboarding, golfing, supporting the Denver Broncos and Denver Nuggets, and spending time with his two dogs. Conor is an avid history buff, coin collector, and reader.
