                                       2018 MERGER/ACQUISITION UPDATE

How Do I Maximize My Company’s Value for a Future Exit Event?

Laying the Foundation for a Successful Exit.

Today’s lunch and learn is a continuation of our short educational series which is designed to address those interested in the possibility of selling their business.  The goal of each session is to keep attendees up-to-date on the latest trends in business acquisitions, advantages and disadvantages, the legal ramifications and planning strategies.  Discussion will be facilitated by experts who have extensive experience handling related matters.  The experts will present information and answer general questions while you enjoy lunch and meet others with similar interests or concerns.

Our last topic was: “How Do I Maximize My Company’s Value for a Future Exit Event?” presented on January 18, 2017.  On March 7th this year, we will touch on similar issues but also focus on what changes have taken place from 2017 to 2018 as well as address how business owners can lay the groundwork for a successful exit.

This topic will be presented by Fortis attorney Julie Herzog and GLC Advisors Investment Banker Adam Haynes.

Julie is a Partner at Fortis and specializes in corporate, securities, and merger and acquisition transactions.  She has counseled several hundred companies ranging from Fortune 100 corporations to startups.  During her career, Julie has handled transactions valued at over $4 billion.  Understanding the importance of timeliness, strategy, and communication has earned Julie several awards.  These include the Denver Business Journal’s “Forty under 40” Award, M&A Lawyer of the Year by ACQ5 Law and Global Awards, and she has been included on the Super Lawyers list for the Top 50 Women in Colorado for the last three years.

Adam has extensive experience with merger and acquisition transactions and investment banking.  Throughout his career, Adam has completed over 75 M&A and financing transactions totaling nearly $12 billion in value.  Prior to his role as Managing Director at GLC, Adam was a co-founder of St. Charles Capital, a middle market M&A boutique based in Denver, CO.

Julie’s biography can be found here, and she can be reached at or (303) 295-9707.  Adams’s biography can be found here, and he can be reached at or (303) 479-3842.
