Denver firm recognized for legal excellence for fourth consecutive year
DENVER (Nov. 4, 2022)–The annual U.S. News & World Report – “Best Law Firms” list has awarded Fortis Law Partners multiple rankings within its 2023 list, recognizing the Colorado firm’s excellence in the categories of Corporate Law, Workers’ Compensation Law – Employers and Employment Law – Management. The prestigious annual list features firms that have distinguished themselves based on exceptional client and peer feedback about the quality and breadth of their legal expertise.
To be eligible for a Best Law Firms ranking, a firm must first have a lawyer recognized in the U.S. News – Best Lawyers in America® list, an achievement given only to the top 6% of practicing lawyers. This year, five Fortis attorneys were included in the 2023 list. Partners Julie Herzog, Christine Lamb, Julian Izbiky and Elizabeth (Liz) Hartsel and Senior Associate Lenora (Leni) Plimpton were each acknowledged for professional excellence in their respective areas of expertise.
“Our primary focus is always on serving the needs of our clients,” said Julie Herzog, managing partner. “This recognition from our peers, clients and Best Lawyers serves as validation that we are succeeding in this mission. It also motivates us to continue striving for excellence and finding creative solutions to complex legal issues.”
Fortis and its attorneys are regularly honored by respected organizations, including the Denver Business Journal, Best Lawyers, Super Lawyers and Martindale-Hubbell. The team has significant experience advising clients on a broad range of complex business matters across many different practice areas, including Corporate Law and Employment Law. Fortis was also recently included on the Denver Business Journal’s (DBJ) annual list of the fastest-growing private companies in Colorado due to an impressive 60% rise in revenue over three years.
Partner and head of the firm’s employment law practice, Chris Lamb, has nearly three decades of experience representing a wide variety of companies ranging from start-up businesses to Fortune 100 companies. She is also certified as a labor & employment arbitrator by the American Arbitration Association® (AAA), the nation’s leading provider of alternative dispute resolution services.
Managing Partner Julie Herzog leads the firm’s corporate law practice, where she handles a wide variety of corporate, securities and merger and acquisition transactions for clients ranging from Fortune 100 corporations to startups, family offices, and venture capital and private equity funds.
